Good News! The church doesn’t have a mission—the mission has a church!
In all three years of the lectionary cycle, we encounter the Acts of the Apostles. In this course, we will read and explore Acts as a description of the mission of God in which we are invited to participate. We will discuss how we can preach on the appointed texts from Acts through the lens of Good News—we are called to participate in what God has accomplished and is still doing in the world.
Through discussion and reflection, preachers will emerge from the course with ideas—maybe even a plan—for preaching on the texts of Acts in Year B.
