2026 IN-PERSON DEANS' MEETING
Our Next Gathering
All deans of local schools of formation in the Iona Collaborative network are invited to gather with us
in June 2026 for an in-person meeting.
Dioceses participating in the Locally Grown Leaders microgrant program MUST send one member of their diocesan grant team. In some cases, particularly when the Project Director is not the Iona Dean, it may be optimal for a grantee diocese to send two representatives. Please reach out to Katherine Buzzini directly if you would like to send more than one representative. It is easier to accommodate multiple representatives if you are willing to share a room.
This gathering will take place concurrently with our Annual Retreat, offering an opportunity for the wider Iona community to come together in one sacred space.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Deans of local formation schools; one member from each Locally Grown Leaders diocesan grant team (This meeting is required for Locally Grown Leaders microgrant recipients.)

MEETING INFORMATION
At our in-person Deans’ meeting, we will share milestones, learnings, and challenges from 2024-2026. We’ll also workshop best practices and convene in cohort groups to strategize on areas of common concern (diaconal formation, one-room schoolhouse, Spanish-language formation, apprenticeship models, lay leadership community engagement, and liturgy lab).
Programming will begin with dinner at 6:00pm on Monday, June 1, and will conclude with lunch at 12:00pm on Thursday, June 4.
Our meeting will take place during a larger retreat open to Iona Collaborative continuing education students.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
Travel Arrangements and Cost Responsibilities
Due to the unique nature of this event, all travel arrangements, including flights, airport shuttles to and from Camp Allen, and rooming arrangements at Camp Allen will be made by Iona Logistics and Hospitality Coordinator, Katherine Buzzini.
